Bryce Canyon National Park is located on US Scenic Byway 12 and Utah State Highway 63. Open year round, Bryce Canyon has a multitude of huge rock amphitheaters with million of red rock pinnacles called "hoodoos". These scenic splendors reflect the early morning and early evening sun and seem to glow during sunrise and sunset. The Park is full of scenic viewpoints. Various trails inside the Park are excellent for hiking or horseback riding. In the winter, you can use these same trails to snowshoe or cross-country ski. There is also a Visitor's Center and a Museum. Cedar City is the closest city of any substantial size to Bryce Canyon National Park. It is located approximately 65 miles to the west of the Park.
