Historic Downtown Cedar City

Historic Downtown Cedar City Utah covers about one city block, between Center Street and 200 North. The main attraction of this part of town is the history and old-time atmosphere of the area. The Downtown Shopping District is particularly fun because most of the buildings have been restored to their original looks from the early 20th century.

There are many great places to meet up with friends and eat out in Historic Downtown Cedar City Utah. The historic district is littered with tiny shops and boutiques where you can find a wide range of unique items. Buy a cowboy hat and get into the Utah spirit. Experience an old fashioned soda fountain at the local drug store and eat a delicious ice cream malt. Or visit an art gallery if you're looking for cultural activities.

Another must see destination in the historic downtown area is Old Rock Church. On the corner of Center and 100 West, this church was built at the turn of the century during the great depression using materials from the local area and volunteer workers who generously donated their time to the project. The church is a beautiful sight to see, constructed of stones quarried and selected by hand. The workmanship is a reflection of the colors found in the Cedar Breaks National Monument and Bryce Canyon.

To get to Cedar City, take I-15 Exit 59 and travel east on 200 North to Main Street.
