Three Peaks Recreation Area is located west of Cedar City Utah. It was developed by Iron County and the Bureau of Land Management. This parkland offers visitors a wonderful view of rolling hills and volcanic rock formations that provide an excellent backdrop for having a picnic, camping, bike riding, and off road vehicle rides.
If you ever decide to visit Cedar City Utah, don't forget to make the trip over to the Three Peaks Recreation Area just west of the town. A joint venture between Iron County and the Bureau of Land Management, this breathtaking attraction just outside the city should be at the top of your list if you're looking for something to do with the family. There are many activities you can enjoy within the park, such as picnicking and camping.
You can picnic at one of the several picnic areas that are available, which all come with tables, fire rings, and restrooms. There's plenty of room for parking and the facilities are equipped to handle a large group or a major event. Two covered pavilions are also available for group use, although you do need to make a reservation before arriving at the park.
Three Peaks Recreation Area is about 10 miles west of Cedar City. To get there from I-15 Center Exit #59, move west on Hwy U-56 for three miles to Lund Highway, and then go north for five miles to Mid-Valley Rd. Turn west and drive for about two miles to the Three Peaks parking lot.
