Sunset Point
Sunset Point in Bryce Canyon National Park (Utah) has access to some of the park's most celebrated and incredible attractions. It is primarily known for its awe-inspiring sunsets, but it is also a place where geologists have found some of the most interesting rock formations on the planet. It is also one place where relaxation is a true understatement.
No one can emphasize the amazing impact that Sunset Point (Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah) has on all those that brave the cooling twilight hours to see the sunrise. Visions of geological wonders, attractions that boggle the imagination abound.
No matter which direction one looks, the sun's rays wish goodbye to the day by dancing lightly on the hoodoo maze and thin canyons, making the colors come alive. To the north, Thor's Hammer towers above the rest, isolated from the rest.
Nowhere in the park are the rocks' colors enhanced more beautifully. This is more evident because of ancient limestone deposits from what was once a huge lake or Lake Claron. Oxidized minerals light up with yellows, oranges and vivid reds, especially along the lowest part of the nearby cliffs. It is known to scientists as Pink Member, a realistic description for a rainbow of stripes.
Nature also hails in the sunset, swallows and swifts dodge in and out of the maze, getting a final snack for the insects disappear into their crevices. Jays break open the pinecones, devouring their fruit. As the sun reaches its golden glow, hawks and ravens dance playfully in the updrafts. It is truly a place of wonder.
