Where is Bryce Canyon National Park?
Bryce Canyon is in the south central part of Utah on Highway 12 east of Cedar City, Utah.
Where are the closest airports and distances?
Smaller airports close to the Bryce Canyon are in Cedar City (80 miles away) and in St. George, Utah (125 miles away). The closest major airports are in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, Nevada. These are both about 270 miles from the park.
What is the average temperature?
In the summer, you’ll find sunny days where the temperatures can reach 70s or 80s as the high and 30s or 40s as the low. In the winter (because of the high altitude and dry climate), 30s or 40s is the average high, with lows from 9 to 19 degrees. It can drop as low as 30 below zero with Alaskan cold fronts that move through.
When is the Bryce Canyon National Park open?
The park is open all day every day throughout the year.
How much does it cost to enter Bryce Canyon National Park?
For one private vehicle the entrance fee is $25. For an individual coming by foot, bicycle or motorcycle, the fee is $12. The fee is good for seven days. An annual pass costs $30.
Can I bring my pet into the park?
You may bring your pet into Bryce Canyon National Park, but your pet must remain on a leash, cannot go on trails or at viewpoints or in public buildings. They are permitted in campgrounds, on paved roads and in parking lots.
What camping and lodging options are available in the park?
There are two campgrounds in Bryce Canyon, and both have coin-operated laundry and shower facilities nearby. The Bryce Canyon Lodge has 114 rooms, which include lodge suites, motel rooms and cabins.

There is no park in the world like Bryce Canyon, with its pinnacles of stone and colors that defy the imagination. Some have called it a cave without a ceiling. The landscape is both inspiring and breathtaking and visibility on a clear day lets you see forever.

Bryce Canyon is not really a canyon, but is a giant natural amphitheater shaped by erosion and freeze-thaw cycles.
The air is so clear in the park that you can often see 90 miles distant, and on very clear days, you can see western New Mexico, 160 miles away.
Rainbow Point is the highest part of the park. Its elevation is 9,105 feet.
