Desperado Dual Bicycle Rally

Come join nearly 400 cyclists as they bike their way through Panguitch, Utah for the annual Desperado Dual Bicycle Rally. This one day event takes biking to a new level - bikes and their riders will travel 200 miles in 1 day through Color Country.

Event Details:

This is Utah’s only fully supported one day 200 mile cycling adventure. For those less adventurous we offer a 100 & 50 mile option. All riders will be required to sign an event waiver. Participants must wear an ANSI approved helmet at all times, must have a legal lighting system after sunset (front and rear), carry proper ID, and abide by all traffic laws. Riders must have a bike in good and safe working condition and carry at least two water bottles. For an incredible ride come join us on Saturday, August 20, 2011.

Overview: The Desperado Dual Bicycle Rally is held each August. Cyclists from all over the country come to ride through the Outlaw Loop. Seasoned riders can do all 200 miles and finish at the Big Fish Loop.

Details: These loops travel down scenic routes such as Highway's 89 and 12 and onward to a climb through Red Canyon and a teetering trip on the edge of Bryce Canyon National Park. After the first checkpoint the rally continues through John's Valley, past Mount Dutton and along the gorge known as Black Canyon. The scenery is intact just the way the American cowboys and Native American's left it years ago.

Fully stocked rest stops as well as a post ride dinner for all races.
