ST. GEORGE - To help cut down on drug trafficking along Interstate 15 in Utah, some Southern Utah law enforcement agencies and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration are seeking approval from the state Legislature to install stationary license plate scanners on the freeway in Beaver and Washington counties. CEDAR CITY - The moon will cross in front of the sun on Sunday, creating an annular eclipse, a phenomenon that hasn't been seen in the United States since 1994. Though the eclipse will be visible throughout most of the Western states, Kanarraville will be the "sweet spot," providing the best view of the eclipse in the world, according to NASA. Read more
