Summer Recreation //
Whether taking the kids for family summer vacations for adventure, recreation, activities or just plain fun, Cedar City, Utah, is definitely the place to go. The list of fun for kids is astounding. Everything from the Shakespearean Festival to hiking through canyons, there is always something to keep them happily entertained.
Entertaining kids on family vacations can be a challenge. Finding fun and exciting recreation and activities, especially during the summer, is no easy task. However, Utah's Cedar City has it all, or so it would appear. Whether you have a budding copy of William Shakespeare in your midst or just a keen mountain biker, finding things to do is astoundingly easy.
Some of the recommended stops that will please most kids include the nearby Bryce Canyon national monument, a hike in Zion, a walk through aboriginal history at a local museum and park, and a step into a deep cave to visit ancient cave drawings. As if this was not enough, kids cannot get enough of rock climbing and picnicking in Three Peaks Recreation Area, or fishing with their Dad on Navajo Lake. Otherwise, opt for the fireworks and feast at the re-creation of the Olympic Games at the state summer games, or see stampeding action at the Great American Stampede.
Whatever your little one or teenager decides, they are sure to come away with memories that will forever be etched in their heads. A lot of families return to Cedar City every year just to let their kids catch up on all the things they missed the last time they were there.
