Salt Lake City Airport

The Salt Lake City Airport has come a long way since being a cinder-covered landing strip in marshland in 1911. Rather than the smooth straight landings it sees now, the airport used to be a site for aerobatic flights and even hosted the "Great International Aviation Carnival." The international airport is a friendly and modern destination.

The Salt Lake City International Airport has been a major hub since the mid-1970's when it grew to 7,500 acres (up from about 500).

With most major airlines flying into the international hub, it's relatively easy to find good deals on airfare. Rental cars, buses, taxis and limos are all available modes of transport once off the plane. A business center provides a quiet office away from office if one must bring work with them on their vacation to Bryce Canyon. There is also a children's play area, luggage carts and Sky Cap service.

Located about five miles from downtown Salt Lake City, the city's skyline greets the traveler as they touch down on the runway.
