CC Heritage Center Theatre

Opened in the summer of 2002, the Cedar City Heritage Center Theatre has fast become a favorite venue for original plays, theater shows and various public events. The construction of this Theatre helped to fill a need for a music venue in Cedar City.

At a cost of $8.5 million, the Cedar City Heritage Center Theatre is a state of the art complex including seating for 1,000, dressing rooms, a green room, loading dock, backstage restrooms and public restrooms. In the basement of the building are located meeting rooms and a spacious kitchen. The community supported the construction of this center by passing a municipal bond, which helped to fund the building.

In addition to various plays, concerts and other public events, the Heritage Center Theatre has become the home for the Neil Simon Festival. This particular event is dedicated to honoring and preserving the works of America's comic playwright, Neil Simon. The growing theater company has helped to make the Heritage Center Theatre a noted location in downtown Cedar City.
