Though the St. George Airport may be small, a sizable amount of flights arrive and depart from the welcoming airstrip. Being a little over 120 miles from Bryce Canyon National Park, it makes it a convenient destination to fly to. Other regional airports include Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. Read More

  • St. George Airport (SGU) is 135 miles/2.75 hours from Bryce.
  • Las Vegas Airport (LAS) is 256 miles/4.5 hours from Bryce.
  • Salt Lake City Airport (SLC) is 275 miles/4.75 hours from Bryce.

St. George Airport

St. George Airport offers daily connections to Salt Lake City, as well as services for charter planes.

  • Airport Code: SGU
  • Location: From St. George, follow St. George Blvd to the airport. To access Bryce Canyon National Park drive north on I-15. Take exit 57 toward Cedar City/UT-14. Follow UT-14 for 40 miles. Turn left/north onto US-89 for 20 miles. Turn right/east onto US-12 and look for signs. The new airport (scheduled to open late 2011, will be located on the east side of town).  
  • Airlines: Skywest runs multiple daily flights to Salt Lake City.
  • Airport Services: Very few services exist. However, the new airport will have dining, shopping, and additional services. Parking is free.
  • Getting To/From the Airport:

Las Vegas Airport

A long drive from Bryce, Las Vegas Airport has highly competative rates and frequent flights. 

  • Airport Code: LAS
  • Location: From the Las Vegas Airport, drive north on I-15. Take exit 57 toward Cedar City/UT-14.  Follow UT-14 for 40 miles. Turn left/north onto US-89 for 20 miles. Turn right/east onto US-12 and look for signs.
  • Airlines: All Major Airlines
  • Airport Services: Restaurants, Shopping, News Stands, and even Slot Machines.
  • Getting To/From the Airport:
    Car Rentals: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz and others. 

Salt Lake City Airport

The closest international airport to the park, Salt Lake City is just under 5 hours from Bryce. 

  • Airport Code: SLC
  • Location: From SLC, follow I-15 south. Take exit 95 to UT-20 East (and then US-89 South) toward Panguitch/Kanab. Turn left onto UT-12 and look for signs to the park.
  • Airlines: SLC is a hub for Delta Airlines, but it also serves American, Continental, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, and United.
  • Airport Services: Find endless variety in restaurants, newstands, book stores, and shopping. There is free wireless internet throughout the terminal as well. 
  • Getting To/From the Airport:
