Currently there are no fees of any kind for enjoying Grand Staircase National Monument.

Camping Fees

Campgrounds do charge a small fee for the use of the facilities on a per night basis.


Permits are available from any Visitor Center or by self-registering at one of the trailhead registry boxes. Free permits are required for all overnight stays including:

  • Backpacking
  • Car camping
  • Horseback Packing
  • Kayaking
